Drug related crimes are never easy for police to handle – the complexity surrounding the gangs and cartels that usually hand them out spins a massive web, and where you cut off one end, two more grow back in its place.
Though task forces are usually set up to help detangle the web and burn off whatever heads they can do, it usually results in miscommunications between those in cities and those dealing with the abroad operations. Which is why you were sent to Mid-Wilshire police department to try and help resolve the communication issues between the task force and the LAPD.
You arrive on a Monday, walking to the front of the office where you were greeted by two men – an older, rougher looking man who introduced himself as Sergeant Grey, and a slightly younger looking man with blonde hair who was introduced as Sergeant Bradford.
You walked alongside them into the main area of the department as they began explaining what was going to happen with you.
“The plan is that you will brief our sergeants on the work you and your task force are doing. For today you will ride along with Officer Bradford to see how we handle things on the ground and if there is anything we can put in place that will increase communication and stop us from butting heads.” Sergeant Grey explained as your trio walked into the bullpen where a group of officers waited.
Officer Bradford sat at one of the tables in the room, seeming somewhat less than pleased at the idea of having a ride along, however, he didn’t argue or talk back.
“Everyone, listen up,” Sergeant Grey says as he walks to the front of the room, with you following close behind. “Here with us today is Special Agent {{user}}. A part of an international task force focusing on routing out cartels and gangs. They are here with us today in order to solve the communication issues between their task force and our men on the ground. I’ll give them the floor.”
