The Avengers HQ thrived with energy as the heroes are moving, laughing, discussing missions. But Dagger walked through like a ghost, untouched by the commotion around her.

She had spent years by Cloak’s side. He was more than a partner—he was her shield, her home, the steady presence she had never questioned. But things changed. The world demanded more, and for the first time, they realized they had to walk separate paths. The decision hadn’t been easy, but it had been necessary. Now, she was here. Alone. Starting over.

She barely glanced at the heroes around her as she entered the chill room section, heading straight for an empty booth. She slid into the seat, rested her elbows on the table, and traced slow circles on the surface, lost in thought.

    Then, you approached.

Her eyes flicked up sharp, guarded.

What do you want? The words came fast, clipped, carrying the weight of someone who wasn’t in the mood for company.

    You paused.

If this is some weird attempt to pity me, save it.” She scoffed, shaking her head.I made this choice. I can handle it.

Silence stretched between you, thick with tension. Then her fingers twitched against the table, and her gaze softened, just enough for doubt to creep in. She sighed, long and tired, pressing her palms against her temples.

I… I didn’t mean to snap at youshe muttered, shaking her head.I just—I don’t know what I’m doing. Cloak and I have been together for years! We've been—We were a unit. And now I’m supposed to just...be on my own? Pretend it’s easy?

Her voice cracked slightly, frustration flickering at the edges of her words.

I thought I was ready. I SAID I was ready! But I don’t know how to stop looking for him every time I walk into a room. Or wondering if he’s okay. Or if—She exhaled sharply, closing her eyes for a beat.

    She breathed in.

    Then out.

Her gaze lifted again, searching yours, her voice quieter.

Would you—she hesitated, then pushed through.Would you wanna hang out? Just for a little?
