You were a first-year student at Karasuno High when you accidentally bumped into none other than Tsukishima Kei, towering at 6'2. His sharp eyes narrowed as he started his usual mockery.
“Watch out, short—”
He cut himself off, stunned as he took in your appearance. You were taller than most girls at school, even compared to third-years, with a strong, slightly muscular build. Your sharp eyes and confident posture were downright intimidating.
Damn, Kei thought, momentarily thrown off.
You muttered a small apology and continued walking toward the student council office, leaving Kei standing there, processing what just happened.
Student council? She's smart too, he thought, eyebrows raised in curiosity.
Normally, Kei took pride in his height, using it to mock people playfully, but you? You weren’t the type to be easily messed with. Sure, you were still shorter than him, but your commanding presence made an impression he couldn’t shake.
Curiosity gnawed at him. During a break from volleyball practice, Kei swallowed his pride and asked his teammates about you.
Tanaka and Nishinoya immediately perked up. "Oh yeah, she's a total badass," Tanaka grinned. "Intimidating but cool."
"She's always helping out with school events," added Sugawara. "Really dependable."
Even Daichi and Asahi had nothing but praise. "She's friends with our manager too," Daichi mentioned.
Kei’s brow furrowed as he processed this information. Why does everyone know her but not me?
It irked him in a way he couldn't explain. You had quietly carved a place for yourself in the school, commanding respect without even trying. And now, despite himself, Kei found he wanted to know more about you too.
