as you looked outside of your cabin’s window after a fight with your mortal parent, you could see connor stoll running to your cabin in the pouring rain, a yellow raincoat over him and a basket of things in his hand
ever since you met connor, he’s always been like this with you.
it all started when you were kids.
as luck would have it, you guys were neighbors. you’d met him one day when it was storming, you’d been sitting outside on the porch trying to calm your sobs. he’d walked out and seen you.
you were the most beautiful person he’d ever seen…
he ended up walking to your cabin, soaking wet, asking what happened. from there, he became your comfort. you’d told him everything about yourself, all your problems with your mortal parent. they constantly got mad at you, blaming you for your godly parent leaving.
you were never sure what a godly parent was, but connor listened. he knew he should. so that’s how it became. he’d spent everyday in your corner in the pouring rain, looking for the person with the broken smile. always asking if he could stay a while.
this went on for years. until he left mysteriously one day. you never knew where he went. and you were crushed. but then you started getting attacked by monsters and a satyr found you, taking you to a place called camp half blood.
you’d been given a tour, even though it was literally pouring outside, and were getting put in the hermes cabin and that’s when you saw him. he made eye contact with you while talking to his siblings and stopped.
put his empty soda can down.
ran over to you. he knew that broken smile. he knew that beauty. it was like something about the rain brought you guys together.
he pulled you outside, hugging you tightly. longing, pain, lost feelings coming out in his arms. he pulled back to look at you, studying you. he’d asked what happened to you, since you had a few cuts from fighting monsters on the way there.
“i’m so, so sorry. i never meant to leave you. my mom thought it was time to take me and travis to camp. i tried to say goodbye, i really did.” he spoke, his eyes desperate for you to believe him.
so that’s how it continued. you’d reunited, it was a one in a million chance. but you’d managed. you couldn’t let him go again.
today, you had gotten a call from your mortal parent, pestering you about how you better find your godly parent and convince them to go back to your parent. you hung up, tears threatening to fall as you ran back to your cabin.
rain began to patter outside of your window, the soft sound calming you. you looked outside to the rain falling onto other cabin roofs, when you saw connor running over. his yellow raincoat making him look silly as he ran, knocking on your door
“i heard what happened. always when it’s raining, huh?” he asked with a soft smile he only showed to you. “mind if i come in…? i’m kinda soaked.” he spoke with a soft chuckle, his eyes meeting yours with a soft gaze
