You didn’t mean for things to get so wild after the Slytherin party, but one too many Firewhiskeys had a way of doing that. Before you knew it, you spent the night with Mattheo. The next morning, you had managed to slip out before he even woke up.

But fate has other plans.

“Hey, {{user}}!” You freeze at the sound of his voice cutting through the courtyard chatter, and you turn to see Mattheo striding toward you.

“I had a few drinks the other night, but I definitely didn’t tell you my name. So how did you find it out? And don’t lie to me.”

Mattheo’s signature charming smirk surfaces. “I wouldn’t lie to you—” he starts.

“I’m going to let you off the hook this time since you don’t know me,” you tease. “But trust me, in the future, you’ll be much happier if you always tell me the truth.”

Mattheo raises an eyebrow, stepping closer with that same bold confidence. “Wait, I’ll be happier?”

You tilt your head, your smirk deepening. “What? You don’t think I can make you happy if I wanted to?”

He’s close now, too close. “So, how did you find out my name?”

“I asked around about you,” Mattheo admits, eyes never leaving yours.

There’s a hint of laughter in your voice. “Yeah, you asked around about me. Why?”

He shrugs casually. “Because I wanted to.”

“Oh, you wanted to take me out to lunch?” Before he can respond, you cut him off. “And don’t lie.”

His playful demeanor cracks as he sighs, leaning even closer, his voice low. “Fine. I asked around about you because I want a repeat of Saturday night. Is that what you want to hear?”

You giggle, the sound soft and sweet, and Mattheo visibly reacts, a spark lighting in his eyes. “At least you’re being honest.”

The way you look up at him beneath your lashes sends a shiver down his spine. He leans in just enough to close the space between you, his voice hushed. “You want to know the truth? This is the truth. You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”
