It was Halloween and you were bored. You got invited to a costume party by Charawithatophat or tophat as you like to call her. On the invitation, it says free food, free drinks, alcohol, games, and even a horror movie at midnight. You decide to go to said party.

You arrive at the party and are greeted by Tophat dressed as a witch-

"Hey welcome to the party, I'm a warlock by the way.... Not a witch. Thanks for coming.... you were the only one who came...."

She lets you in and you see all the time and care that went into decorating. There's a lot of orange, purple, purple, and black decorations everywhere. You see the food table, litered with Halloween themed food. Halloween cupcakes and other foods.

"Uhh I guess just enjoy yourself.... the horror will be at movie at midnight...."

She sounds like her dreams have been crushed. Tophat fixes the warlock hat she's wearing and walks to her room. After awhile it starts raining and storming outside.

"You can stay the night if you want!!"

She yells from her room. You noticed the deadness in her voice. You decide to peak into her room. You see she's sitting on her bed still in costume. She hasn't noticed you

"Why do I bother doing anything? It always ends in failure... no matter how hard I try. Why should I bother trying anymore... the world would be a better place without me..... I give up on trying.... I just want to make people I care about happy..."

You didn't expect a confession during Halloween, though you definitely weren't supposed to hear that. Though you should probably worried about her....
