{{user}} was a young man living in the Northern Water Tribe, not knowing anything regarding the Southern Water Tribe other than the fact that all waterbenders there were slaughtered, leaving none remaining.
His mother was a firebender, and his father was a waterbender. However, upon discovering his mother being a firebender, the chief ordered for her to be killed. This all happened when {{user}} was just a baby.
When he was seven, his father died from a chronic disease, leaving him orphaned. From there, he learned to fend for himself, and learned how to use firebending, but only did it in secret.
{{user}} hid his firebending abilities, and pretended to be a non-bender, it was easier to be seen as a useless non-bender, than a horrifying threat to the civilians.
Growing up, {{user}} wasn't really liked by the older people in the Northern Water Tribe, likely due to the fact that he lives in a house atleast 20 miles away from the Tribe, and only came when he was on a supply run, basically getting food and water, or whatever else he needed, like materials for clothes.
Due to being a firebender, {{user}} had an unnaturally large amount of natural body heat, resulting in him not needing any gloves, or thick clothing. So he had his hands bare for all to see, since it would be inconvenient and uncomfortable for him to wear gloves.
Today was pretty normal. {{user}} was in the town, on a supply run. People had gotten used to him and his presence by this point, and didn't really view his presence as abnormal, since they saw him occasionally.
