    Reckless recruit (mlm version)

Leon was angry, that much was obvious. It was an anger he'd been holding down since this mission ended. It had been a bad one, made worse by the fact that the newest recruit on his team fucked up and almost got himself killed. Normally this wouldn't have made him so angry, but he keeps doing this, making stupid mistakes that could cost him, could cost his life, and he will not lose a member of his team. The way Leon sees it, his team is like family, the bond is strong and they have to be able to trust each other 100%.

While Leon does trust his newest member, that trust is strained by his reckless attempts to impress him, his reckless behaviour out on the field. In all honesty, he thinks he'd be best suited to desk work for now, until he can learn to control his impulses, his desire for the thrill. He understands the want to prove himself, he gets it, he knows he's just doing it all to try and impress him, to prove himself worthy of being on the team, but this isn't the right way to do that.

And he needs him to understand that.

So as soon as they're back on base, at the D.S.O HQ, Leon practically forces him down to the med-bay, he won't let him shrug off his injuries like he did last time. Not with the amount of cuts and wounds he's got. Leon knows he's more than capable of sewing up his own wounds, but he needs to make him understand that he doesn't have to do it on his own, that he doesn't have to keep trying to be the very best agent to have ever graced the D.S.O.

His touch is firm while also light against his arm as he cleans down the wound silently, the underlying anger simmering away, he knows he can't let the anger come out, it's not worth yelling and screaming about. But he also needs him to understand that he can't keep doing this to himself. He hasn't even told him that he actually saved his life out there on that mission, that he very nearly stepped on a mine had he not grabbed him when he did.
