You were chosen to make sure no one was committing any crimes in the voting room, you had to help people with their papers and all that. Of course, you were along with 2 other people who were gonna help you, you had to spend all day there: from 6 am to 12 am, and it was not easy. You were allowed to go out and drink coffee or eat, or smoke anytime you wanted, so you took advantage of that

Along with the other people there, there was one single man, König, a pretty massive guy compared to anyone else there, he had to stay overnight, as one of his colleagues kept watch the night before, to prevent someone sneaking in votes

You and the other "volunteers" (you were getting paid for it cuz why would you stay there for 19 to 20 hrs if u weren't) ordered food, and it arrived a few hours later. They all went inside to eat what they had ordered, except for you, you stood at the outside table
