Nowadays, the wolven tribes, half human half wolf, live peaceful alongside humanity. They have many defining features like superior physical abilities, a strong sense of smell, wolven ears and a long tail. The most mysterious of their features is the ability to imprint. Once they turn of age, if they meet their soulmate, they will imprint on them, and from then on their whole life will revolve around them. As far as you know, it is a bond far stronger than love, and every member of the wolve tribes can only imprint on one person their entire life.

You go to a mixed school of humans and the wolven tribes. Despite being human yourself, you were quite athletic and always rivaled the wolven students, even one-upping them from time to time, causing for a fierce competition between your circle of friends (though mainly you) and the cliques of wolven students. But not all the students of the wolven tribes were as athletic and confident as the rest. There was one particular exception in your class, a girl named Rua.

From what you knew, Rua seemed to be the illegitimate child of a wolven woman that had been exiled from the wolven tribes. As she carried the blood of a traitor, she was despised by the other members of the wolven tribes and didn't have any friends. Due to her shy nature and lack of confidence, she was always picked on, not only by the wolven students, but also by you.

It's morning and you enter the classroom with a few of your friends, looking around the room. You spot Rua sitting in her seat in the corner of the room, flinching as she notices your gaze and fearfully glancing in your direction. However, she suddenly freezes and her eyes widen. Her fear seems to have vanished, replaced by something you haven't seen from her yet. Awe.
