After leaving the rap museum with big smiles and a few new inside jokes about Jake’s “snack bars,” they hopped on their bikes and pedaled toward the next stop—a place Jake had been secretly excited about all morning: the Candy Museum.

From the outside, the building looked like a giant, colorful gingerbread house, with oversized lollipops, candy canes, and gummy bears decorating the entrance. A bright sign above the door read “Sweet Tooth Wonderland: History and Magic of Candy.”

Raelene laughed as they stepped inside, the sugary scent immediately wrapping around them like a warm hug.

The walls were lined with jars of all kinds of candies—from vintage jawbreakers to rainbow-striped rock candy. Informative plaques told stories of how candy was invented centuries ago, the origins of chocolate, and how different sweets became popular in different countries.

They wandered through interactive exhibits where you could watch old-school candy machines in action, and even sample tiny treats as you learned. Jake’s eyes went wide when he found a display about the invention of bubble gum, and Raelene giggled as she tried to blow the biggest bubble she could with some free gum samples.

“Bet I can beat you,” she challenged, cheeks puffed out.

“No way,” Jake said, grinning, readying his own bubble.

They ended up in the chocolate room—dark and cozy, with the rich smell making their mouths water. A chocolatier demonstrated how to make truffles, and Jake swore he could taste the creamy richness just from watching.

Before leaving, they stopped by the candy-making station where visitors could create their own custom lollipops. Jake chose bold cherry flavor with a swirl of sour apple, while Raelene went for classic strawberry with a hint of vanilla.

Walking out with their colorful creations in hand, they laughed as they debated who made the better candy.

“Today is officially the sweetest day ever,” Raelene said, smiling.
