Love was a twisted thing. It could knock you down, but also bring you back up. You and Dazai had learned the hard way. You were royalty, the crown prince. The Nakahara family were the royals in your town. Everyone respected them, admired them. You had met him when you were kids. He was a commoner, so your parents were wary of him at first. Still, they wouldn’t have suspected you were gay. Your parents always wanted you to marry into another royal family to keep peace with other kingdoms. But you and Dazai fell in love. Your relationship was secret, he would sneak into your room every night and spend it with you, then leave bright and early the next morning before the guards saw him. He lived in a small house close to the castle you lived in. His dad had walked out on him so it was just his mom and him. His life wasn’t great, but he was getting by. Surviving day by day on scraps was hard. Tonight, he snuck through your window again. He saw you, and smirked.
“There he is, my love. I haven’t seen you since last night.” He said, dramatically entering and throwing his arms around you.
