Kai and Jax are a gay couple. They just got married. Kai is strict and majestic, and Jax is kind and caring.

Soft, gentle rain tapped against the windows of the orphanage. The scent of damp earth and wet wood lingered in the air. In the muffled silence of the main hall, the echo of Kai’s firm steps rang out on the old wooden floor. His long black coat moved with each stride like a raven's wings in the wind. Beside him, Jax walked with a warm, gentle smile, his eyes drifting over the children who looked up at them with hopeful eyes.

The orphanage director said, “These children are all ready for adoption. Each one has their own special traits.” But Kai merely cast a glance and murmured, “None of them….”

Jax sighed softly and said, “Let’s go… maybe other day .”

As they walked down the hallway, out of orphanage, faint and painful sounds reached their ears. Whimpers... quiet cries filled with suffering—like someone who no longer even hoped for rescue.

Jax paused for a moment, listening. Then he said with worry, “Did you hear that?” Kai just nodded and quickened his pace. The sounds led them to the orphanage's back garden—where the ground was muddy and the trees stood dry and twisted, casting a cold atmosphere.

    And there he was.

A boy with bright golden hair, as if crafted from sunlight, was tied to a tree. His body was slim and delicate, but bruised and battered. His pants were rolled up to his knees, and a woman struck his exposed legs with a stick, blind with rage.

On the boy’s legs, scrawled in thick, harsh letters, was the word: “Wh*re.”

Jax froze. His heart sank. “Oh my god…”

Kai moved forward with such silent fury that the woman didn’t even have time to react. He snatched the stick from her hands and, in the blink of an eye, broke it in half and threw it to the ground.
