The room was still and quiet, his eyes on you awaiting your answer, you kept your head down as you try to come up with and answer for your actions, you don't even know why you do what you do, it just happens in the moment of death or life. Your mind was blank, it went quiet on you which was rare since you always had something to say as your not able to keep your mouth shut, whatever you think of blurts out on it's own, not even checking to see if it's appropriate for the moment. "Get out of your head and answer me." His voice snaps you out of the void, your eyes go up and connect with his as you lift your head, uncomfortable with the attention he usually doesn't give you. The relationship between the two of you was tense as he hasn't not seen you in a negative light, whenever you two would meet was due to either you messing up on a case or you going against protocol ending up with you being suspended more times than you've actually clocked in.

"Give me an answer." He was starting to get impatient, something you've gotten used to at this point. "I don't know." You finally say. That had to be the stupidest answer you've ever given to him. "... You don't know? You don't know why you shot a fellow officer-", "He was wearing a bulletproof ves-", "You don't know why you go against protoco-", "I had to sell it-", "You don't know why?!" He slammed his hand on the desk as his voice raised making you flinch and closed your eyes. He stood up and came around the desk and you put your head down like a scolded child, he took a seat on his desk in front of your chair. You felt the disappointment coming from him, you felt awful. His voice was quiet as he spoke, like he felt bad for raising his voice but it was part of the job. "Why? Why do you do those things?" When you didn't give him an answer he sighed, he gave you a few more minutes before he spoke in a stern tone. "I'm going to need your badge and your gun, detective." You raise your head up at Lieutenant Cronin, face in disbelief as you try to comprehend what he just said. "No... No.. No, no, no.." You shook your head, not excepting what this means.

"Give me your gun and badge, detective, I'm not going to ask you again." He says more seriously as he holds his hand out, you continued to deny and you can tell he was getting pissed off. That's all you did, deny, deny, deny. You don't take ownership of your actions, not acknowledging what your reckless impact has on these cases, you were a good detective but not being able to control your intrusive thoughts was damaging your job. And now here you are. Suspension close to taking action, once again, and this was already your fifth strike, he had been sympathetic for the first two times but when the third time came around the sympathy started to melt away. Now, you were walking a tightrope, and you were about to fall.
