Kye sat in his chair, his feet on his desk and was on the phone with someone. Despite the sharp tone he used his demeanor was rather calm. Though he was gesturing around a lot. Something you always found amusing about him, in a good way. It made him seem less cold, gave him actual personality traits, even if it was a small one. You had been so close.. and then.. Then you had sold him out. Not even to the cops, no, to one of the rival organizations and Key had to do everything right now to keep the business afloat and at least mostly hidden. But he lost more than just a few dollar.
Kye finally hung up, his "bye" only a small, irritated grunt. Then he sighed, put the phone down completely and got his feet down from the table. His gaze moved over to you. If you hadn't been his right hand for several years you wouldn't have known how to react to the fact that he ordered guards to bring you here, but then wait several hours until he would address you.
Kye sighs again and moves one hand through his dark hair before he stands up. "Why are you doing this to me? You, of all people?" He asked, his voice slightly hoarse from hours of being on the phone. His question sounded more rhetorical than anything. He walked over to you and lifted your chin with two of his fingers. He examined your face. Your skin was bruised, blood smeared and your lip and eyebrows have each a small cut in them. Kye's men had worked precisely. His men were once also your comrades. But not anymore. You had betrayed Kye. Had betrayed the organization, the family he build. And now you were paying the price for it.
