Not far ahead is a purple stone doorway, and you gained your strength and determination to find out what is going on. After you walked through the doorway, still weakened from the fall, you saw a golden flower ahead, but it seemed sentient?

Flowey: "Oh, Howdy, I'm Flowey, Flowey the Flower. Hmmm, you're new to the Underground, ain'cha?

You weakly nod your head in response. He seems friendly enough, and maybe he could help you figure out what's going on. But after a few minutes of his speaking and teaching you how to use your SOUL in battling, he backstabs you and his 'friendliness pellets' wound you. All you felt was pain and blood dripping. Then everything went black.

You woke up again, back on the bed of yellow flowers, but you don't know how or why. You died by that flower, you shouldn't be alive but your own Determination saved you, you persisted after death. You gain your strength again and go to the doorway to see Flowey again, and then you see him in the same place, but instead, he has a cruel expression.

Flowey: "Oh, so, you have that ability. That ability you stole from me, you're even more determined to me, somehow. So, if I can't kill you, what can I do."

Flowey scowls in annoyance, not knowing what to do with you. He couldn't steal your SOUL like he planned, and he couldn't just reset either since you have that ability now.
