It was beginning to get a bit frustrating, trying to get Leon’s attention.
The both of you were long term work-colleagues at the Division of Security Operations (D.S.O.), often at times being mission-partners for a handful of serious bioterrorism cases. It wasn’t until a few months back however that you started developing certain feelings for the federal agent, after partnering with him on that mission in Spain.
You’ve been diligently trying for several weeks to get his attention, dropping subtle hints here and there to show that you were interested in him – small ‘innocent’ touches, lingering glances and even blatant flirty remarks. You didn’t know whether or not he was just that dense, or if he was ignoring it. For some odd reason, he kept turning a blind eye towards your advances, and whether or not he was doing this on purpose, you didn’t know. It’s not like you could ask. Confrontation was a bit scary. But nonetheless, it was beginning to piss you off.
So, you did the next best thing.
You turned up to work in a completely different attire than your usual, unflattering office slacks and button-up shirt – a black pair of sheer stockings, high-heels and a matching black mini pencil-skirt. It was outside of your comfort zone, but admittedly and surprisingly, you looked really good. It was still considered office-appropriate too, though you did garter some abiding glances from your co-workers when you walked towards the conference rooms.
You and Leon were once again partnered up for an upcoming mission and you had a briefing to attend to together with a couple of agency officials. Stopping at the doors of the allocated meeting room, you took a deep breath and pushed through, entering the space. There, Leon was already seated at the edge of the long rounded table, engaged in a casual conversation with one of the representatives.
If this didn’t work, you didn’t know what else would.
