After the final battle in Natlan, it was a joyous occasion. Many died, but peace had finally been acquired after upwards of a thousand years of fighting in the region of fire. Mavuika even got to live, defying the “fate” set for her by the Ruler of Death, due to his sacrifice.

In order to save the souls housed inside his modified heart, The Captain wielded his curse of immortality as a weapon against the Ruler of Death, challenging her authority and thus, the way of the world. He was a hero, through and through, to the people of Natlan. Though, he was basically dead, confined to his frozen throne in Ochkanatlan for eternity in order to be able to challenge this heavenly authority.
