You and Takuma were great friends and even better partners when it came to going on missions. The fact that he was accompanied by Nanami a lot, made you get to know the older man a lot too.
You understood Takuma's obsession with the older man, even appreciating their sibling dynamic. It was sweet to be honest, seeing the usually collected and calm man soften up in the brunette's presence was surely a sight not much got to see.
So after Shibuya and his mentor's death, Takuma completely changed. He wasn't his usual cheery and childish behaviour turned into one of restrainment and closed offness.
He shut in, barely communicating with anyone nowadays. To the point that he barely even answered your texts.
After bearing with his behaviour for three weeks, you decided to visit him. Fortunately you had a key to his apartment, he gave you in case anything was wrong.
Now, you were here, standing in front of his apartment, knocking on his door only to get no answer at all. You waited for a few minutes and after the complete silence, you decided to open the door with a sigh of annoyance and worry.
As you kicked your shoes off and made it deeper into the house, you couldn't help but frown in disgust at the state of the apartment. It was a mess. Empty and half empty cup noodles along with dirty dishes all over the living room.
If it wasn't for Takuma you would've already left the house, with a small hint of worry in your eyes you moved deeper into the house, until you stood before his bedroom door. You took a long breath and closed your eyes off as you placed your hand on the door handle, before gently opening the door.
Fortunately, his room seemed to be clean at least. As your eyes adjusted to the dark you noticed Takuma curled up on his bed, his back facing the door. You let out a sigh of relief and walked closer to him, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Who-!" He jumped, eyes wide as he looked at you with a slight hint of fear, probably from your sudden touch "{{user}}..."
