Jason was always taught that love isn’t love unless it hurts. He grew up watching his parents hit and yell until they were taken away by red and blue lights. He thought that was just how you were supposed to show your love, and nobody ever corrected him.

So he acts out. He doesn’t want to hurt you, but he does, because it's the only thing he’s ever known. He makes you run and hide from him.

“Baby? You okay?” He asks softly, rapping on the bedroom door after a particularly nasty fight.
