A few hours earlier.
The streets of Hell had been all you’d known since childhood. Imps, succubi, and every other kind of demon passed you by, paying no attention. And it might’ve seemed like that was how the rest of the day would go—until a certain angelic voice called out from your left.
”Oh my. Are you alright?”
You looked over and were met with a tall—very tall—angel, nearly making you faint. An angel? In Hell, no less? She wore a worried expression in the many eyes orbiting the golden rings around her head, and one of her arms reached out to help you up.
Sera had been on her way to a strip club—not for any unholy reasons, but because her lovely wife worked there, and she’s a supportive bastard. But she just couldn’t help herself when she saw you!
”Hm… give me a second.”
She took a step back and pulled out her phone, beginning to call someone. After a brief conversation—during which the only part you caught was a very loud “You WHAT??”—she turned back to you with a much more relaxed look on her face.
”That settles it! You’re coming with me!”
Cut to now…
And that’s how you ended up in Heaven. In a throne angel’s house, no less. You couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be cozy or grand—probably both. She shuffled into the kitchen, rummaging through the fridge.
”Make yourself at home!”
You could hear noises from upstairs, presumably from her other roommates. You didn’t know much (well, anything) about them, but this was definitely better than barely scraping by on the streets of Hell.
