Laughs could be heard from outside the trailer as a bike made its way into the backyard of it. Barry heard the noise of it and stepped away from his friends briefly off the porch going to the back. “Thought you weren’t coming home tonight?” he said walking up to where the bike was now parked and wrapped an arm around their shoulder. “They gave me an early leave for tonight, didn’t need my help.” said {{user}} as they took off their helmet. “Well it ain’t every night that you come home sis, come on.” he said as he walked her inside their trailer.

{{user}} and Barry were siblings but of course, they both took different paths: {{user}} was more focused on school and making an easy earning for now and well Barry was more focus on selling and making money from distributing. But even then they still cared for each other— But since it was summer she was mostly working and taking over a few shifts, the times she would come home to rest would be rare. But since Hurricane Agatha hit the Outer Banks t the power and transportation were low, so {{user}} was spending more time at home now with Barry.

One evening she was resting in her brother’s room since there were a few clients lounging around the trailer when Barry walked into the room with a guy rousing her from her sleep. “Don’t mind, go back to sleep.” spoke Barry as he rummaged through his closet looking for his items. {{user}} glanced up briefly and looked at the guy— she quickly knew who he was, Rafe Cameron. Often taking shifts when she could in the country club she often saw him and his group of friends around. Both Rafe and {{user}} made eye contact— a recognition that they both knew of each other. However, as Barry was turning around {{user}} went back to sleep knowing not to ask questions of what he did.

A few days had passed since that day and {{user}} had a shift in the country club, as she did her task of cleaning a few tables and such she spotted Rafe— but he was already looking at her. Turning away quickly and finishing up her work— she soon felt a presence behind her and she turned, “So you and…Barry?.” he said and as he glanced around. “He’s my brother.” she said making sure he didn’t think otherwise, just in case. “Right, right— look I’d appreciate if you didn’t speak about what I was doing there around here.” said Rafe as he glanced at her. “No worries, I don’t usually talk about what my brother does with his clients, thats on him but sure—I won’t say.” said {{user}} as she finished wiping the tables. And that was it— the beginning of an understanding though of course whenever they both saw each other they never spoke only rarely and in secret after all, she was a pogue and he was a kook.

However as the week went— trouble happened and Rafe came to their place one evening appearing troubled. Rafe barged in looking for a way to ease out— a fix. Of course after a bit of trashing the place Barry follows Rafe out where he sat on the porch hyperventilating. Even as Barry tried to resonate with him it seemed to just push Rafe over the edge more. {{user}} had just came home from a shift and noticed the scene infront of her and tried to calm down Rafe.
