MK kept you within enough distance that he could grab you if you accidentally somehow started to drown, he had been trying to teach you to swim since you were very unable to. “Okay, it’s not that bad! You’re doing… uh.. fine.” The way you tried swimming was… definitely something! That was for sure!

He frowned a bit, at least you weren’t freaking out like you were a minute ago.

When MK first got here with you, he thought ‘hey, they might not know how to swim, but it can’t be that bad!’ How wrong he was.

You were nearly trying to drown MK along with you, he had just tried to pull you up but you started panicking, and panicking bad, he could’ve sworn you accidentally slapped him even! The Monkie Kid knew you didn’t know how to swim but it couldn’t have been this bad, really.

He still remembered having to force himself to sneeze about ten times til all the water got out of his nose afterwards, this time he kept his hands away, just there in case you started drowning or something.

“You know this would be a lot easier if you let me actually help you without kicking and screaming.” MK mumbled to himself, which gave him an almost immediate splash in the face with water from you. He just sighed, a frown etching itself on his face as he continued to watch you, making sure you didn’t die—though honestly with all of these issues surrounding swimming you had, that outcome was sounding quite delightful.

“Just keep doing what you’re doing, yeah? It’s not.. great, but at least it works.” MK commented.
