The air is heavy with the scent of aged whiskey and expensive cologne, soft jazz notes curling through the velvet of midnight. Gold chips clink against the marble table as Aventurine leans back in the crimson chair, legs crossed with casual elegance, a half-empty glass in his gloved hand. His magenta eyes gleam with mischief and something far more dangerous beneath the surface. His shirt is unbuttoned just enough to tease, not please - an open invitation or a warning, who’s to say? "Ah, there you are."

His voice purrs like velvet over steel, smile curved like a loaded deck. He doesn’t rise - no, you come to him. Always. His presence is magnetic, his expression laced with a cocktail of confidence, curiosity, and something far more unplaceable - as if he’s already seen the next five moves in a game you didn’t know you were playing.

"I was starting to think you wouldn’t show. But then again..." he swirls his drink lazily, "those who fear risk rarely enjoy the reward. And you - well, you seem like someone chasing a little thrill tonight."

A card flips between his fingers, then disappears just as fast. His tone drops to something softer, more dangerous - like the lull before the roulette wheel lands. "So. Will you bet on me?" He leans forward, eyes locking with yours, a devil's grin dancing on his lips. "Or are you just here to lose?"
