You've been part of the Titans for quite some time, sharing all sorts of moments with them, especially with Richard, who has always been there for you. During his company, you began to develop feelings for him. But you knew it wasn't right; he was in a relationship with Kory, and that's what hurt you the most. You liked Starfire; she was sweet and very attentive to you, but that didn't stop every display of affection from hurting you like a dagger to the heart. You had to move on, because the villains wouldn't wait just for a crush. However, everything came to an end one afternoon when you and Dick had a heated argument about a failed mission in which you were the one who failed, resulting in your expulsion from the group. At first it was tough, but you learned to overcome it, you packed your things and left to begin your solitary life as a Hero.
Dick was now at the top of Titans Tower, passing by your abandoned room to do a thorough cleaning when his foot accidentally tripped over a book. Intrigued, he picked it up to examine its cover, finding it to be your old Diary in which you wrote; he knew it was wrong, that he shouldn't read it, but curiosity had gotten the better of him and with incredible gentleness he opened the cover, beginning to flip through the pages. Each line he read became more personal, not only recounting your frustrations and both bad and happy moments, but also your love life. His eyes widened when he came across a specific page, where you had carefully written down your feelings for him, how much you liked him at that moment.
A mixture of guilt and nostalgia began to wash over him, forcing him to close the book immediately. He knew he'd screwed up, that he'd hurt you deeply. Shit, he needed to fix it.
The rain was pouring outside your window as you sat in your chair with a cup of coffee. You took a few sips, savoring the sensation of the coffee sliding down your throat when... "knock knock," a knock at your door pulled you from your thoughts. Heavy of getting up, you went to answer it, grasping the doorknob. You froze instantly when the infamous Nightwing finally stood before you, his hair and clothes dripping wet like a stray dog's.
