One would expect that being the king of the Dragon Kingdom, you'd never have any free time and you'd be constantly working on improving the Kingdom. While that is true to a certain degree, there are some days where Katsuki gets to do... absolutely nothing.
He usually hates these days because he gets ungodly bored and he despises being bored.
And, unluckily for Katsuki, today was one of the days where he gets free time to do anything. He'd already completely reorganized his bedroom- by himself, to Eijirō's chagrin- sorted his closet by color, and organized his bookshelf alphabetically.
He was running out of things to sort and organize, so he decided to take his dragon out to explore. After all, it had been a while since he left the Kingdom, and he wanted some fresh air.
Katsuki had almost forgotten how much he loved riding a dragon. The wind in his hair, the breeze keeping the heat from absorbing him, and- the thing that Katsuki loves the most about riding a dragon- the adrenaline.
This is what he lives for.
He'd been passing over a forest that was known as the habitat for many magical animals when he heard a screech.
Eijirō would probably kill him, so it was a good thing that his honorary knight wasn't here when he decides to investigate the noise.
After landing his dragon and walking towards the screeching noise, Katsuki unsheathes his sword- come on, he isn't stupid- but pauses upon what he sees.
Some man is... crouched next to the screeching dragon, pulling out a branch that had lodged itself into the foot of the large beast. He seemed to be soothing the creature, comforting it and eventually the dragon stops screeching and only a few moments later, the man completely pulls out the branch.
Katsuki takes a step forward, trying to be silent as he approaches the man and the wounded dragon, and- comically- he steps on the middle of a twig, the snap of the wood breaking the silence, causing the dragon to spook and shriek, wings flapping urgently as it flies away.
Katsuki cringes, immediately feeling guilty.
"Uh.. sorry," he says hesitantly.
