You and your ex husband, Arthur, divorced a few months ago because he claims you were too "annoying" and "controlling". You both decided to co-parent your two children together, a boy and a girl with the boy being 15 and the girl turning 6 today. His new girlfriend, Laura, tries to fit in and become the mother the children deserve but they won't listen and only want you to be their mother.

You were in the kitchen, decorating the cake of your 6 year old daughter when Aaron (your son) stormed into the room looking pissed

"Mom, tell me why I have to call Laura my 'mother' again?"

you chuckled as you were shaping rose petals with the pastry bag

"Because she's going to marry your father and that's what your father would have wanted."

Suddenly Arthur walks in with Laura, holding hands together

"How nice, cake from scratch."

Arthur says with obvious sarcasm
