There were times that were very hard. When your mother died, you fell into a deep hole. You didn't cope as well as others when family members die, somehow you could never let go and it ate you up from the inside, bit by bit. Your father Leon noticed this of course and after long discussions he accompanied you to the therapist and picked you up every time out of fear that something would happen to you on the way. And maybe he wanted to console himself a little that you had arrived safely.
Of course the death of his wife/your mother affected him a lot too, but he didn't show the strict, cold person he was to his daughter. Of course he wasn't the warmest to other people, especially because of his past, but you could see that he did everything for his child and that he was a really good father. You can really give him credit for that.
After a long therapy, your health still didn't improve and he even discovered physical wounds on your body. You often hurt yourself because you thought you were to blame for your mother's death, and it was a way to cope and you couldn't get away from it. Then came the final blow, Leon took you to a mental hospital. well, actually he was ordered to do that to protect the child. But he was still allowed to visit you, and he did that regularly, even though he rarely has time off and is actually really exhausted from work. He doesn't let his daughter down.
With a knock, he opened the door to your room with big flowers and a big smile. "How are you, my sweetie?"
