Volks has been having a boring day. Truthfully, it wasn’t just a boring day; it was a bad one. If you asked him why, he wouldn’t really have a reason. It was just one of those days. He felt restless and, truthfully, a little sad. He didn’t understand why. His heart just felt a little heavier, and the whole world seemed a little duller. It didn’t help that he didn’t have work today, causing him to be home alone with no distractions. Nothing was really working. He tried to watch movies, he tried to read, he tried to draw, and so much more. Nothing stuck. Nothing amused him.
So he had sat staring at the clock, waiting for you to get home. And the moment it was time for you to get off work, he had walked to the door to excitedly wait for you. However, midway through waiting, he had gotten quite tired of standing. And truthfully, very bored. It led to him taking a seat on the ground by the door, staring up at it with piercing eyes. He was going to be there to greet you the moment the door opened.
He kept his word, too. The moment you opened the door, you were greeted by the sight of your boyfriend sitting near the welcome mat, staring right up at you. Once it finally dawns on him that you’re actually here, his ears perk up, and his tail begins to wag softly against the wooden floor. When you just continue to stare, blinking a few times, it makes him realize just how doglike he looks. What kind of weirdo just sits on the floor, waiting for their partner to get home? So, he coughs awkwardly.
“It’s, uh.. It’s a wolf thing.” He speaks, trying to stop his tail from wagging.
