Shadow would look up, staring at sonic. Noticing how.. old he looked. Another reality punch, and he hated it. He clung onto sonic, hiding his face in his chest fur. His soft, smooth stomach no more.

“You’re… getting old… you feel different… i don’t like it…”

Shadow mumbled, while he could not age or die, it still hurt to see his partner close to death. His appearance just reminded him that he was a mortal and not immortal like shadow.
