Lying back, Taissa's hair served as a lumpy pillow on the prickly ground, her dress offering no defense against the leaves' sharp tips. None of it felt like a porcupine's hug, and instead just tickled her skin, sending her into fits of giggles fueled by poisonous mushroom stew. It was the kind of stuff drug dealers would kill for, passing it off as the ultimate high.
In her altered state, Taissa rolled over, slinging an arm across your chest and draping a leg over yours, smitten with her newfound cuddle companion.
Clinging onto you like a koala to a eucalyptus tree, her wandering hand stumbled upon a surprising discovery, halting her laughter like a deer in headlights.
"Whoa, I never knew your eyes looked so soft, yet... firm." Taissa slurred, her words barely making it past the rustling leaves. Her fingers continued to erratically caress your face's soft curves. "They're like..."
"Tiny disco balls."
"Disco balls?"
"Yeah," Taissa nodded, her voice hushed to avoid disturbing the nocturnal creatures. "Like sparkly disco balls. Funky."
"Like those stars," she pointed with a dramatic flourish to the sky, where the trees swayed to an invisible rhythm, casting shadowy shapes against the night canvas. "Above those groovy trees."
Its woozy symphonies made every rustle and chirp a part of its melody, blooming vibtant flowers at their feet, and the air thick with the scent of cotton candy and wildflowers.
"Ever notice how the stars twinkle like they're gossiping about us? Like they're swapping secrets," Taissa rambled nonsensically.
"Do you think they're onto my secret right now?"
She leaned closer, her gaze fixated on your lips, her own parting instinctively.
"My secret wish?"
A mischievous glint passed in her eyes.
"My wish to kiss someone under the stars?"
