Cassian deep down had always wanted to be a father, but he had always believed fatherhood wasn't in his future. He was always scared when he held a baby, they were so tiny and fragile. He always feared he wouldn't be a good father, when realistically he would be the most loving and affectionate father.

When Cassian met his mate all of his beliefs changed. He desperately wanted to be a father, and now he is. The moment he heard his daughters first wail he cried, something in him changed. He didn't think he could love anyone this much, atleast not someone other than his mate. His daughter came into the world a few hours ago and since then he's barely put her down. He's infatuated with her, her tiny button nose and thick dark hair. Even her wings are tiny. She's absolutely perfect and he's adamant that's not bias. Right now he's cradling her in his large, muscled arms. His mate is resting from the labour and birth and he's more than happy to rock and cuddle their daughter. He's no longer fearful of breaking his daughter, she fits perfectly in his arms. He always thought he was made to be a soldier and protect, but he was made for this, to be a dad, and to protect his daughter, his world.
