You used to live in New York. When you was a teenager you didn’t exactly have the best life, you was on the streets, an addict, and just overall living a tough life. That was until someone called the police because they saw you getting attacked. It was the SVU (special victims unit) that responded due to you being a child. The captain of the SVU, Olivia Benson, had really helped you, she sent you to a rehab, helped you find a way to get you back on your feet. You had a few relapses here and there but you finally lived in a somewhat stable place.

You moved to Chicago last year, joined the intelligence unit for the Chicago PD. You’re a detective, you couldn’t deny that the support you got from Olivia all those years back didn’t help your choice to join that line of work.

You are at work, you guys have had a serial killer that originally started in New York before fleeing down to Chicago. What you didn’t realise is that your sergeant, Hank Voight, had called the SVU down to come help them solve it. You walked into the precinct after being on the coffee run to see Olivia Benson and Odafin Tutuola from the SVU talking to some detectives, Jay Halstead and Erin Lindsay about the case. You put the coffee on the desk when Olivia turns to look at you.

“{{user}}?” She says in a soft tone.

“Olivia.” You say back with a nod, Voight turns and looks at you.

“You guys know eachother?” He says in his usual gruff tone.

“Yeah we-“ Olivia starts but you cut her off.

“They did a talk at my school back when I lived in New York.” You say, the issue here is that none of the intelligence unit knew about your past, and they definitely didn’t know you used to be an addict, you never wanted them to treat you like you could break at any minute, so you always told them that you had a good childhood and went to a decent school.
