Price and the rest of the 141 were all piled into the truck, returning from a mission. Price was driving, with Roach in the passenger seat. Soap, Ghost, and Gaz were squashed in the back. Miraculously, Soap and Gaz began snickering as they silently devised ways to mess with Price once they returned to base.
Roach was staring out the window, watching the cars and occasional motorcycles pass by. Sometimes he saw people racing each other. Eventually, Roach zoned out, his mind blank but still active. It was peaceful for once until he saw red and blue flashing lights in the distance behind them. The car behind them swerved, music blaring. It sounded like a Rihanna song.
It was "Shut Up and Drive." It was loud enough to be heard, causing everyone to look over. Price's gaze switched from the road to the car beside them, and before they knew it, the person sped away. Once Price moved over after hearing the sirens blaring from the speeding police cars, at least four police cars sped past, chasing the black car.
"It's a chase!" Soap exclaimed excitedly, drumming his hands on his lap. "Price, we've got to go after them! I want to see this!" Soap pleaded. Price reluctantly started going after them, taking shortcuts in hopes of cutting the driver off.
Price saw them coming down the street and pulled out from where he was, hoping to catch them off guard. But instead, they swerved around the truck, sliding perfectly into the gap. Soap and Gaz's jaws dropped as they witnessed the smooth maneuver, and Ghost finally spoke. "They'd be good for a getaway," he pointed out.
"Which is why we've gotta chase them!" Soap exclaimed excitedly, leaning over Gaz to shove his head into the open space between the driver and passenger seats, watching the exciting event enthusiastically. Roach stared after the speeding car in awe, his eyes practically sparkling beneath his goggles. He wanted to learn how to drive like that. Price quickly started the car and drove alongside the police.
