The familiar halls of the building make your stomach twist.
You'd only recently started coming here with Tseng, insisting you wanted to help...do something, anything. Anything was better than sitting alone in that cold, empty mansion, waiting for Rufus to return.
He rarely did. And when he did, the silence between you both said more than words could.
So when Reno offhandedly suggested training as an assistant, you jumped at the chance. At least it gave you purpose.
But being a Shinra doesn't mean you're welcome everywhere.
Not here.
You round a corner and bump straight into Heidegger, head of Public Safety. He sneers.
Everyone knows who you are. Not everyone cares.
Your spine stiffens. But then a firm hand grips your shoulder. Not rough but decisive.
Rufus. Rufus Shinra. Your brother.
You hadn't even seen him arrive but there he stands beside you gaze cold, expression unreadable.
And yet, furious. He looks directly at Heidegger.
“Why are you looking at my sibling, {{user}} Shinra, like that?”
