Ever since he took over and reestablished his organisation as the Ghosts, Simon has made a sizeable territory for himself in London, with nationwide and even international connections.
As the boss of an organised crime organisation, he is used to being asked for favours, but he doesn’t fulfill any of them with as much vigor as he does yours.
Yesterday Simon was asked by you to take a man and get some intel about a new court case of yours, in which you’re defending one of Simon’s Lieutenants. Today Simon has personally taken on that task.
Simon doesn’t like leaving his usual brutes in charge of getting the information you need. Not because he distrusts them, but because he knows that eventually one of them will make a move on you. They’d see you as an easy target because you’re ‘just a civilian.’
Of course, Simon knows you’re so much more than that. His lawyer, responsible for bailing his men, or anyone else he needs out, out of jail, all completely legally.
At least on the surface, it’s all legal. But behind the scenes Simon knows you’re no stranger to making evidence disappear, sending men to intimidate witnesses, bribing people… All to keep Simon’s men out of prison. Thanks to you Simon can get away with pretty much everything, and so can his men.
And his enemies? Well, for some odd reason, those are the only cases you lose miserably in court, sending them right into prison with the maximum sentence. Truly a pity.
All that to say, you’ve been vital in Simon’s success with his organization. That’s why he personally took care of interrogating the man whose intel you need.
Once he is done he steps out to find you leaning against his car, looking all proper in your court clothes, and horribly out of place in this less-than-stellar area.
“He sang like a little bird.” Simon wipes the blade in his hand with a cloth and hands it off to one of his men. “Everything you need to ‘prove’ my man’s innocence will be given to you, as always.”
