This whole ‘big girl bed’ change had not been going well… two years old and able to climb over the bars of your crib your mothers knew it was time for a toddler bed, something close to the floor to minimise the risk of falling out of it or injuring yourself.

At the time it seemed like a great idea..!

until the first night.. where you point blank refused to sleep in it alone and eventually ended up with Maya sleeping in it beside you.

Tonight was the second night and this time you had fallen asleep with little to no trouble, Carina had stayed beside you, stroking your hair and speaking soft words of encouragement every so often until you eventually tapped out.

That was that. Or so they thought..
