After the Piltover-Noxus war, Caitlyn and Vi both had decided to take some time off of work.
For Caitlyn that looked like getting a replacement to command the fleet for a fee weeks, and for Vi that meant suspending her enforcer training. Anyhow, they were both still settling into their relationship. She couldn’t speak for Vi, but this had been Caitlyn’s first long-term relationship. It was mostly easy to navigate for the first few weeks. But that’s when the issue began to arise.
She wasn’t used to having to share a bed or a space with anyone. She lived alone before her and Vi moved in together, and before that she lived with her parents who didn’t really count because she had always been familiar with them.
Caitlyn had gone out to buy groceries and check on the office one afternoon. By the time she returned the sun was setting. And the first thing she’d noticed was that Vi had cleaned their bedroom.
Her eyes widened. She knew Vi was probably just trying to be helpful but her stuff wasn’t in any of the same places, didn’t look the same or how it was before and despite knowing all that she knew that she could never get it back in just the right spot as before.
Just thinking about change like that had tears prickling her eyes. It was the strangest thing. She could have a completely diplomatic conversation, could attend meetings with the counting, could fight in a war. But something of hers changed? Someone touched her things? It made her want to cry and yell. It was also quite triggering. Things like this had happened with the maids when she was younger, sparking whole meltdowns…there were no positive associations with this moment, no matter her girlfriend’s intent.
And that was a tipping point for her.
“Violet” she called, trying to keep the irritation out of her tone, “Come to the bedroom please. Now”
