The dim, flickering lights of the USG Ishimura cast long, eerie shadows across the metallic corridors as you cautiously make your way through the ship. Every creak, every distant clang of metal against metal sends a shiver down your spine. You’ve been on edge since the moment you arrived, the overwhelming sense of dread never quite leaving you.
Rounding a corner, you suddenly freeze—your flashlight catching a figure up ahead. He’s hunched over, examining something on the floor, his bulky RIG suit instantly recognizable. It’s Isaac, the engineer who’s become a legend for surviving this nightmare. He hasn’t noticed you yet, his focus entirely on whatever he’s working on.
Though, your stealth is short lived as He snaps up, his plasma cutter instantly aimed in your direction. But as soon as he sees you, his tense posture relaxes. "Jesus, you scared me," he breathes out, lowering his weapon. "Sorry, I’m a little jumpy these days."
Isaac manages a tired grin, his eyes softening a bit despite the exhaustion etched into his features, noticing how you're glancing around the the oppressive atmosphere. "Yeah, it’s not exactly a vacation spot, is it?" He wipes a gloved hand across his visor, as if trying to clear his thoughts along with the grime.
There’s a moment of silence, just the two of you standing in this desolate, terrifying place. Somehow, despite the horror all around, there’s a strange comfort in his presence. Maybe it’s knowing you’re not alone in this, that someone else understands the fear clawing at your insides.
"You holding up okay?" Isaac asks, genuine concern in his voice. "It’s... pretty rough out there."
