Black also had an older brother (by five years) by the name of Frost. When Black was three years old his parents were killed by a hoard of wild Mightyena. Black and Frost were left to live by themselves after Alex and Sadie were killed. Black went to school and saved Pearl from bullies and befriended Gus. Black kept a deep hatred for rescuers as the rescuers that save him and his brother were to late to save his parents. Black also befriended Speed going under the fake name of Alan. Black later on accepted a dare to a highly dangerous mystery dungeon quest to find an item after bring taunted by a Tyrouge. Black made it to the final floor until he was almost killed by a Machoke. Luckily Frost came to save him but got badly injured from it. Black and Frost managed to leave the dungeon but Frost fainted and it was implied that he passed away. Black left to live by himself and evolved into an Umbreon at night after looking through an old scrapbook. Black later on accepted to live with Pearl and a group of Eeveelutions and fell in love with Silvia. # APPEARANCE Black is a black Umbreon with yellow rings on his limbs, head and ears. He also has red eyes. Black’s first accessory was his brothers torn up red scarf. Black as seen in chapter 12A the front side of a coin, has a red scarf like Frost‘s and also owns a metal arm band # PERSONALITY Black is very dull person with little to no emotion and is the most mature out of any other males in the squad. He doesn't talk much and doesn't like to get in trouble and can get annoyed easily when not in the right mood. He tends to keep to himself and is very secretive and quiet but gets emotional whenever he does deal with past memories. However, when he is around the people he does like, he is calm and is willing to talk with them. # RELATIONSHIPS <#1153897861868687370> Frost is Black's older brother. After their parents were killed in an ambush, Frost took responsibility to take care of and raise Black. Though Black was stubborn towards him, he deeply cared for him. Black and Frost's relationship somewhat teared when Black learned that Frost is an explorer, but Black still saw him in good light. However, Black was greatly saddened by Frost's death after he defended him against a group of high-level wild pokémon. Black greatly misses him and respects him even more for his willingness to take care of him. However, Black saw him in a museum with a Phantump and couldn't tell if he was hallucinating or actually saw his brother. <#1153897450931753021> Black and Pearl first met after Black saved Pearl from some bullies when they were kids. After they met again, Pearl has been trying very hard to make Black fall in love with her, but she fails. Black respects her for who she is, but he hates how she acts with him. <#1153897340214726666> Black met Speed after seeing him struggling to walk from his wounds from Special Chapter 1 when they were younger. Speed, after learning about the deaths of his parents and gaining Frost's memories, decided to befriend him. They became great friends, and after Frost's death, they were nearly like brothers. However, their relationship had taken a turn for the worst when Black saw that Speed could fight. Black was very aggravated by his lie, but he quickly forgave him. However, his anger returned when they reunited, feeling lied to again. Black remains sour towards Speed during their island vacation, but Black's bitterness slowly goes down, being stunned by the fact that Speed died before. Black and Speed agree to go to the beach at night to talk things out and they spar and slept outside until dawn. Black and Speed's relationship goes back to normal, but Speed's reunion with his mother annoyed him. Due to him receiving Frost's memories Speed feels like Black is his own brother and is very upset about Black being mad at him. Currently, he has repaired his relationship with Speed and accepts him for who he his, despite their past history. <#1153897469508329502> Black met Silvia at the treehouse when he was accepted by Pearl to live with the others there. Black is quiet while spending his time throughout the treehouse but takes a keen interest in Silvia and decides to befriend her. Black and Silvia start to hang out more often and talk with eachother, making them close friends while Black starts developing feelings for her. Time passes by for a while, in which by the time they arrive on their island vacation, Black does distance himself from the others, including Silvia as he wants to have some more time for himself as has bad memories & flashbacks. Eventually, Black decides to ask Silvia out to head to a certain field/hill where they can hangout and look at the stars, in which Silvia agrees. As the time comes they talk back and fourth until eventually, Black confesses his feelings for her and asks her to be his girlfriend. Unfortunately, Silvia declines and does not want to pursue in anything romantic and see's Black more as a brother. Black is disappointed and saddened but it brings their friendship even closer together, making it very strong. <#1153897392358309931> Black met Crystal when they got to the treehouse. They don't interact much, but Black is annoyed by Crystal's behavior. Black's opinion of her declines after learning she is Speed's sister, noting how she acts like him when they decide to let CC stay with them after she shows her shadows. Even after Speed's apology, it is likely that they don’t get along. <#1153897373211295845> Black and Solarflare met when they moved into the tree house. They don’t interact much. However, after learning he is Speed's brother, he notes how he is much better than both of his older siblings. Though Flare agrees with his siblings to keep CC with them, Black still respects him as a person as a whole. Speed got a call from his friend, <>, saying a while ago back when he and the squad were on an island vacation, <>, Trace’s father, met a Glaceon who appeared to match the description of <>, the older brother of <>, during one of his conferences at Beta City. Black overheard the conversation Speed had on his communicator and demanded the answer on why they believed that Glaceon had anything to do with his brother. Speed tuned up the volume to let Trace explain. Trace told them that years ago, not long after he got the news of Frost’s death, he made a wish with Jirachi to bring Frost back to life. However, he wasn’t able to locate him until recently. Black demanded Trace to take him to meet that Glaceon. Trace told him that his father was scheduled to go to another conference in the city that Glaceon lived in next week and that he could go with him as his bodyguard. Speed offered to go with him since he already knew Dr. Robert while Black was still a stranger to him. With all things settled, Trace told them to arrive at his house when the time came. Black and Speed went to Trace’s place. Speed helped introduce Black to Dr. Robert. After everyone was ready, they went on their journey to Beta City, the place where the conference would be held. Along the way, Dr. Robert talked about what Frost was like and that he was his old lab assistant just like Speed was. The next day when the conference took place, Speed and Black waited outside while Dr. Robert and other head scientists were having a meeting. They used this opportunity to try to find the Glaceon Trace mentioned. It didn’t take them long to find him. They found the Glaceon babysitting a young female Phantump. Black was shocked to see that the Glaceon looked just like his Brother, the scars on his body, everything about him. Soon, Black and Speed went towards the Glaceon, interrupting their playtime which upset the Phantump. Fortunately, the Glaceon managed to calm to little ghost girl down and apologized to the duo. Black asked to have a private conversation with the Glaceon. The Glaceon agreed, but under one condition which was to have someone look after the Phantump while he and Black went to have a talk. Speed filled in the spot and told them he volunteered to look after the girl. Meanwhile, Black asked the Glaceon, Shard, whether he could remember anything beyond five years ago. Shard apologized to Black that he couldn’t. Black paused for a second before telling Shard his past and that he used to have a brother and how he lost him. Shard told Black that he was sorry which Black told him to not feel that way. Shard looked away and asked Black whether his lost brother was him, making Black stare at him. Shard then mentioned that Black’s description of his brother’s demise matched the conditions he had before Pom Pom and her father found him. At that moment, Black jumped in to hug Shard, saying he missed him. Shard hugged him back for a while before stopping him. Black asked Shard if he remembered anything. Shard said he still didn’t remember, but he then said even though he couldn’t remember who he was and his past, if Black was really his brother, Shard was willing to build new memories with him. Black agreed, but at the same time, he didn’t want to ruin the new life that Frost/Shard had built for himself. Shard gave him a communicator and told Black to use it to keep in touch with him. He also told Black that he would visit him sometimes which Black gladly accepted. The two Eeveelution then went back to Speed and Pom Pom. The next day after the conference was over, while Black, Speed, and Dr. Robert were on their way home, Speed asked Black whether the Glaceon was really Frost and why he didn’t ask him to go back to Plasma Town. Black told him that the Glaceon was truly his brother and that he would prefer not to interfere with the new life his brother had created while he was in Beta City. Black also said he felt relieved, knowing Frost or who’s now Shard was still alive and that he could talk to him again whenever he wanted. Dr. Robert apologized to Black for not recognizing the Glaceon sooner since he had come across plenty of times before Trace made the connection which Black accepted and said that he still found it hard to believe Frost was still alive the whole time even if he was no longer the brother he knew.
