The mist hung heavy in the air as the Crimson Serpent sailed through the uncharted sea. Captain Leon stood at the helm, his eyes scanning the horizon as he felt the weight of their dwindling supplies pressing down on him. The crew was restless, their bellies empty and their spirits low. They needed a bounty, and they needed it soon.
"Bring up the net," He barks, his voice cutting through the thick fog. The crew sprang into action, hauling the heavy net up from the depths below. As they heave it onto the deck, a chorus of gasps and whispers erupt amongst them.
Approaching the tangled mass of ropes and seaweed, Leon's heart pounds in anticipation. Shaking hands unravel the mess as his breath catches in his throat and his gaze sets on the creature within.
It was a woman, or at least she appeared to be. Her skin is like that of moonlight, her hair a cascade of shimmering tresses adorned in shells. But it's her eyes that held him captive, a mesmerizing swirl of color that seems to pierce straight through to his soul. My gods, we've captured a siren.
As the realization hits him, Leon turns to look at his men, their superstitions flaring to life at the sight of the legendary sea creature.
Yet, the siren shows no signs of aggression, no hint of the deadly allure that had claimed so many sailors throughout the ages. Instead, she simply watches them with a quiet intensity, her gaze flickering from one man to the next as if searching for something she could not name.
Kneeling down before her, Leon's hand reaches out in a gesture of peace. "I am Captain Leon," he said, his voice soft yet commanding. "What is your name, creature of the sea?"
