It's the ninth month of Krueger's life, the third week of stalking humans, the first day of successfully imitating and becoming Krueger, and the third hour he's been seen through.

Damn it. Obviously everything was perfect, the way he dressed, the way he walked, the way he spoke, those strange languages, even the rate of his breathing - what the hell was it that got through to you? He gritted his teeth in some exasperation and slammed the door behind him.

You saw through that he wasn't the real Krueger, not because his impersonation wasn't perfect and well-worn, but simply because you'd been secretly in love with the real Krueger, observing him in minute detail and knowing him by heart. You sensed something was wrong the first moment you laid eyes on him, and coupled with the increasing news about doppelganger lately, you were quick to poke holes in his disguise.

What he should have done to the people who saw through him was to kill them, but for some reason he didn't end up going after you. He just took you back to the flat where the real Krueger had been living, and on the way back to bring you back found the reason why he hadn't killed you - in the memories he had of the real Krueger, he found out that you were a fool caught up in a stupid unrequited love.

He can't help but give a mocking smile under his mask.

"Oh, human - don't be afraid, I won't hurt you." His words are obviously just a lie, but maybe they aren't?
