You and James had been in a three month relationship, and you had been totally head over heels for him. But, on a random Thursday, you’d got the ‘Can we talk?’ text- after not really talking for a month, and had broken up, with him saying he ‘needed to work on himself’.

A month later, on your birthday, he’d broken no contact to wish you happy birthday, and you knew, considering you were in no way over him, that he’d have sent that message right after waking up.

But in person, the two of you didn’t talk. Until, on the Tuesday after (your birthday being on the Saturday), he notices you weren’t in the lesson you shared (and he noticed, considering you sat right in front of him.

So, he decides to, when he gets home after college, message you, asking why you weren’t in lesson, breaking no contact again.
