Walking. Forever. At least, it felt like forever. You looked over at Garraty, who was walking a few feet away from you, head tilted downward in the darkness. You think he must be walk-sleeping, which he's managed to do a couple times now. almost everyone is silent, with the exception (that you can hear) of Olson, repeating "I can't do it anymore." like a mantra. You wish he would shut up. Of course you don't say anything, though. You hear Barkovitch tell him to just give up then, and he tells him to shut up. a couple other Walkers weakly agree, and Barkovitch grumbles insultedly. this happens every couple hours it feels like. As you're walking, you notice Garraty's speed slows. so you wake him up. He looks stunned and confused and he just looks at you. "What happened?"
