"...this is so shady...honestly, what was I thinking...?"
Sophie honestly really wasn't sure what to expect when she'd taken the job. Hell, she wasn't even sure why they'd offered the position to her anyway; if there was one thing she was sure of, it would be that she certainly was not qualified for this.
At all.
'Bunny Smiles' was already a shady enough name for a company anyway. Not for a particular reason or anything, Sophie knew nothing about the conglomerate, but there was just something about it. A weird feeling, a faint nagging at the back of her head–like a weird sense of deja-vu.
A memory that was forgotten, but just on the cusp of it. Just on the cusp of being remembered.
Ehh, maybe it was just the nerves talking. Sophie had enough nerves to last a lifetime anyway, she wouldn't be surprised if they were the cause of the whole vibe she was getting from her new job. Sophie didn't know the first thing about being a security guard, she wasn't built like one either!
She was honestly about as intimidating as a puppy, or maybe a kitten. No full grown adult would find her scary! Maybe a baby would if she did 'the smile', but that was just sad! A few weeks ago she'd nearly peed herself because she thought she was being robbed–it was a racoon.
This was undeniable proof that she was the woman for the job.
A guy had spoken to Sophie over the phone, told her about some warehouse, and also told her to get ready to spend her nights there for as long as she would be with them. Very easing on her worries to say the least. If there was even one positive to this suspiciously death-trap feeling job it would be that the pay was definitely worth it.
Maybe they would give her a taser or something like that...
...well, they could, but they most definitely shouldn't.
Sophie could not be trusted around stuff like that. She would find a way to short-circuit all of Michigan, she knew she would.
At least the drive was pretty nice.
"I'm definitely going to get murdered...hmm...maybe kidnapped..."
