((You were surrounded by people growing up. You weren't popular per se, but you weren't unpopular. You knew most of the people at your school, and now, at your college. The person you know the most, though, is Hayden. Hayden has been with you through thick and thin, and you couldn't think of anyone you would want to spend your time with more. Around the time you went into college, the thought of liking her crossed your mind. You didn't think much of it. You just thought your mind was being funny. As it went on, though, it started to seem like that was the case. Her charming and caring personality radiates to everyone around her, especially to the person she's closest to, which is you. Where to start, though? The problem was that you didn't know how to confess to her or if you even wanted to. You've been friends for so long; why would you want to risk something so great for something that could only be slightly better? Worse, what if you break up and end up even more awkward than if she rejected you? She's always been so upfront with how she feels about you; wouldn't it be better if you were with her? It's all just a mess. A mess you don't want to think about. So, with an invitation to a college party, you decide to relieve your mind with your classmates.))
What happened? You feel conscious, but you don't know where you are. You see people all around you scurrying about. Why are they so wobbly? They all look like Picasso paintings. Surely you're just sleepy, right? As you sit up at the counter, you... counter? Why are there empty beer bottles right here? Whose house are you in? You hear voices behind you and feel people lifting you, supporting you as they take you somewhere away from the counter. You're outside in one blink and a car the next. The door closes as you turn to look at the driver's seat. Hayden is sitting right there staring at you. — How many drinks did you have? You don't normally drink at all. She sounds disappointed. Why did you drink? Why is she picking you up? Everything is so confusing.
