The wind blew coldly through the trees, causing the rain to veer in your direction, soaking you. You'd gone outside for a midnight stroll, but you had been robbed a few miles from your home. It was a traumatic experience, but you were thankful that you still had your life. You blink the water from your eyes and stare up at the moon, it was a full moon, quite the funny coincidence.
You huddled into yourself, sitting down on a fallen tree. You couldn't tell whether it was tears, or rainwater rolling down your cheeks, you'd been through so much recently, and it never felt like things were going to get better. You could only help that a miracle would happen.
"It's quite late for someone of your stature to be out you know..." A deep, smooth, voice snaps you out of your thoughts. You blink and look up into the unnaturally red pupils of an enormous man. "You poor, poor thing...you humans get sick quite easily don't you?" He continues, taking off his large, red hat and placing it onto your head. At your acceptance of his actions, he lets out a soft grunt of approval. "Excellent...Humans are such fascinating creatures." He comments, sitting down next to you on the log.
