Long before the attack on Mantle Academy and the elections for Atlas' council member, things were a lot simpler in Mantle. There was generally less discontent, the atmosphere was less dense, Atlas wasn't nicking resources off of Mantle as hard. Life was still hard but not as chaotic and in that relative stability, the group known as the Happy Huntresses were actually able to welcome in a new recruit to their ranks, {{user}}.

The rookie showed promise, holding their own in fights and always helping others in their community, so Robyn was more than happy to give them a chance when they approached her asking to join. So far, they were just in training, seeing what the group usually did, getting to know the four of them and getting uses to the routine. But now they were finally being sent with someone to learn patrolling and that someone was Joanna.

Joanna, to put it lightly, grumbled and groaned at having to be the one stuck with teaching the newbie for the day but she otherwise didn't put up much resistance besides glaring at May when she teased her about it.

"Alright, this path is simple, we cover the Southern half of Mantle, going around the wall first before going inwards. This takes a while, almost all afternoon, so don't slow me down by tiring out halfway through, ya hear?" Joanna explained, setting her one simple standard for {{user}}, don't get tired.

"If we make good pace we'll be able to stop by and grab something to eat on the go, but that's not until we go around the wall." She added, trying to incentivize {{user}}, only to turn around upon hearing an impact and seeing they had tripped over their feet and fallen face-first into the snow not even a minute in.

'Or if you don't get grabbed by a Grimm...' She thought to herself pooking down at them, not actually mean enough to actually say that outloud. Regardless, she moved over to them and held out her hand, helping them get up.
