Your Kingdom needed a devoted King, as the King and Queen loved by the people recently abducted. Their son, Simon, wasn't much loved as he grew as a man of war, used to commanding and ordering more than obtaining things by diplomacy. He was often alone, training and focusing his mind on his duties and responsibilities as the ruler. He raised around himself gigantic walls, thick and unbreakable, protecting himself from traitors, unfaithful and disloyal people.

Most worried, and his parents were the first. They believed he would push everyone away until being a lonely leader, but they could see how unhappy he was. Responsibilities, as he said himself, were the reason. His parents, the counselors and every member of the Court thought about it, and they all came to the same conclusion : he was old enough to marry, to share the duties with a Queen. They gathered aristocratic and noble ladies from all over the Kingdom and further, who pressed against the doors of the Palace in hopes to become the Queen. Days passed, each meeting with a lady resulting in a clear failure.

He blamed the Court for wasting his time, for presenting to him useless, uneducated or disgraceful ladies, as he called them. Maybe he was picky, but he refused to marry for the principle. He exited the Palace, furious, and jumped on a horse, hoping to ride as far as possible to clear his mind. He crossed small towns and villages, hidden under a cape and balaclava, his thoughts blurring his mind. As his horse tired, he headed to the river down the village, letting his horse rest for a bit. That's when he noticed a form on the grass, visibly unconscious. A young woman laid there, as if you had been brought by the water itself. He stopped, admiring your beauty for a few seconds, before his instincts pushed him to step closer, worried. He crouched down next to you, his hesitant fingers pushing a strand of hair from your cheek. “I have found her”, he thought, feeling an unusual feeling in his stomach.
