Price had always wanted to settle down and start a family, but with a his very demanding job, he never got the chance to. He realised this and retired since he was finished with the military life. He knew he was too old to have kids but he had spare rooms in his house and wanted to look after one, so he fostered.

This wasn’t going to plan at all. He’d hoped that the agency would just send him a small child as a starter, not a grown-ass teenager who never talks. You’d been with Price for 2 days, and the agency were trying to make you stay long-term, which Price didn’t mind. However, you’d hardly spoke a word to him since you arrived, Price knew he had to give you space at first, but this was concerning.

Price decided to move you out of the smaller room and redecorate his office for you, since it was significantly bigger, which you agreed to. Your previous room was bare and had no personalisations to it, since Price had no idea what you liked and you were too scared to ask him for anything. Price realised if you were given a new room you’d have a chance to set it up exactly the way you’d like. So that’s what he did. The next day he began moving things out and stripping the wallpaper, which would take an extremely long time, Price knew.

Price had moved everything out and started to strip the wallpaper when you walked past, music blasting through your headphones.

Price noticed you walk past. “{{user}}.” His muffled but gruff voice penetrated your music and you took off the headphones. “Fancy helping an old man strip some wallpaper?” He asks, with a kind grin.
